The Reverb -- Booking Info
|
|
|
|
If you'd like to book your local, regional, or national act at The
Reverb please read the following:
|
| |
Please keep in mind that we get many requests for
bookings, and while we would like to let every band play any date they want,
this is just not possible. Please keep in mind that we are a business
that needs to have people through the door to keep our doors open. With
that in mind, many of the preferred slots such as weekends and opening for
national acts go to more established local and regional acts that we can count
on to draw time in and time out. Lesser known bands hoping to land a
weekend their first time out may have to wait quite some time before we can
comply with your request. Here are some booking methods and pointers to
getting your band into the Reverb.
|
| |
1) Preferred method would be to send an Electronic
Press Kit or link to your website with easy to download audio to Cody at
TheReverbBooking@aol.com
We get many emails, so please allow up to 7-10 days for a response.
|
| |
| 2) Mail your promo package inlcuding CD (sorry, no
tape player for tapes), bio, etc to:
|
|
|
The Reverb |
|
204 1/2 Main St
|
|
Cedar Falls, IA 50613
|
|
| For this method please allow 2-3 weeks and then follow
up with either an email or phone call (email preferred).
|
| |
| 3) Get in contact with one of our better drawing
local acts to talk about show trading, etc or to see if you can open up for
them sometime. Out of town bands, Cody can also help set up your band
with a local in exchange for a show trade, etc.
|
| |
4) Newer or lesser know bands can play any Tuesday
Book Your Own Band Night.
This is a free show ($2 for minors) that typically has 3 bands doing 40 minute
sets.
Time slots are on a first come first serve basis open to any local, regional,
or touring band needing a show. Bands are not paid for their performance,
but you can sell all of the merch you can.
|
| |
| 5) Try to play one of our Wednesday night buck a
band nights. Basically, Wednesday's are a slower day of the week, but if
you are willing to make the drive or make the effort, you can often get your
band in easily on a wed and get an even % of the door for pay.
|
| |
| Remember to always send posters for your show and
promote your show to the fullest. It does your band no good and our bar
no good to have you play in front of the door guy, soundguy, and a
bartender. PROMOTE your show!
